Happy New Year everyone!! I got my computer back, so I lost zero files after all (YAY!!)

I haven't had a lot of time for computer art since we moved, in October, I started taking a class to open my own dayhome, which finished up in the middle of December. Then of course, Christmas came thorugh the house like a hurricane (more like the kids did!) and so hopefully now, back to a normal routine we go!

I've been slowly going through my link pages, making sure everything works, and have noticed a lot of really great sites are either on hiatus, or just gone.... it's really hard to keep up with changing sites, so I am just going to leave things as they are for now.

New things...well, as you can see, a new layout! :D My Amy Lee one was up for a good 8 mos, so I figured it was time for a change and I wanted to try something new. I'm really hoping that the positioning turns out ok on other people's computers...I apologise if it looks crazy, I'm still learning and experimenting with tables and such!

only one pose...one skin tone. I made it a while ago, for the Jarred Up contest at Truffs. I had planned to make more poses..but...well, let's face it..a basemaker I am not at this point!! So, feel free to use it with a link back of course...it can be edited in any way you see fit. All I ask is that if you do edit it, let me see what you have done and I will add it here with a credit to you :D I'd also love to see dolls made on it, dorp me a note! :D I may someday run a base edit contest with it i think..so no using it for a base edit please. I think that's about it. :D

Sorry for the lack of updates on the site over the last few months. Joe moved for a job at the end of May, and then the middle of June, me and the kids moved as well, with 3 solid weeks of packing in between. We spent 2 months living with my sister and her fiancee while Joe looked for steady, stable work and we looked for a place of our own. We ended up moving again right at the end of August, just in time for Aron to start school! :D

Then, when we had the high speed internet hooked up, we discovered that our computer had finally packed it in...508 errors in windows, all but 7 were fixable, so windows has to be reinstalled. Of course, my Key is in a box at the old place! So I am borrowing my in-law's tower until I can get the other one sorted out.

So if there are missing base links for now, it is for that reason: I usually go through my saved bases when I am posting the dolls and find the link on my list for updating my links page. I have neither the base files, or the list right now! But I will figure it out and post them for sure with my next update.

I have done a few dolls since my last update, most of them are gifts, or non adoptable dolls...I think i may have lost one...but for the most part, I made out pretty well in the file department as most of my dolls are here, on my sig host (www.mischost.com) or my best friend had copies of them.

So without further ado...the latest dolls! I also adopted some more dolls and a bunch of blinkies, and a huge update to the links page.

This one was a request by my best friend. She felt that the dolls that I was making based on and inspired by her were too...unwholesome? So she asked me to make her into a nun. But I say...how wholesome can you be when you've had 3 kids??;) LOL You can't see it on this background, but it says "Innocent...Maybe?" under her feet.

I was thinking of doing a layout with these dolls, I still may. I have in my head what I want it to look like, but I'm not exactly sure how to put it in there and have it come out right. I'll either use them, and then put these dolls up for adoption when I change layouts again, or, scrap the idea and let them be adopted LOL, so eventually they will become adoptable.

this one is pretty much pixel shaded...one of a very few that I have ever done. I think you can definitely tell as the skirt isn't as good as it could be in the flow department! I like how the hair turned out though, and that is always a struggle for me! I also like how the bodice turned out as well.

This was done for a Tutorial Challenge at The Realm. Used Flapcat's hair tut. I rather like it and will probably use that technique a lot more! It is also inspired by my daughter, Racheal. She loves ballet, she likes to pretend that she is a ballet dancer and dances all around. She watches a lot of Barbie movies! LOL Also, her favorite color is pink.

Made for The Realm Challenge #8 which was to take the mask prop made by Kaywyne and fix it up, put in a background and animate it if you wanted to. I wanted to do something a lot fancier with it, but I do like the result!

This was my first doll that I made in our new place...testing the waters again after a good month away. So it's not particularily good. It's me, the morning before, trying to get ready to go meet someone for the first time in a new city. I was feeling just a little bit self concious! You probably can't see it, but it says, "Do these jeans make my butt look big?"
